We are so Happy about Dutches

The weekend Dutches had strep that Sunday night she asked the Lord to be her Savior! We were so excited. She has not talked to Pastor Steve or anyone yet and we are not sure when that will happen yet. Bob was saved at the age of 5 and he had went to Bible School at a small country church out here where we live, but he did not get baptised until he was 9. People have asked us why we waited but we did not want him to think any of us had pressured him into this decision. Jon and I are still talking about what to do with Dutches. Anyway whatever we do we are still excited for her. She told Jon and I "its a new me" and yes she is so right.

Its that time again

Well besides working on the house we have been busy helping Bob get his show animals broke for next year. We are hoping they will be pretty much house broke like Snoopy was last year. Here is his steer that is not named yet but I have been calling him Hokey. He is very gentle he does not lead well but we are getting there. I was off Monday so the kids and I got to play with them a lot. The black heifer is a registered Angus she is not named either yet Bob has not got the papers on her yet. I will have to post pictures later of her. I don't know but Snoopy will be hard to beat Dutches even showed him in clover bud showmanship. Some reason I can't get the pictures up loaded to this but the ones of Dutches showing Snoopy is on face book in the Decatur show file.

We have been busy so I have not really been on here much. We have been trying to finish all of our house projects. New Years Day Jon and his brother put in our new kitchen floor. 11 years of plywood can you believe that. Seems like every time we had money saved up something happened and we had to use it on the farm or something. Anyway we have been working really hard to get this done. Jon is doing the trim work himself. Matter of fact the kids spent the night at Granny's and we ran to Springfield to the Grizzly store to get a router to do the trim. It was a nice day but we both were ready to get a hold of the kids. Here is the kitchen floor I love it. I thought I wanted this all over the house but I think I like carpet. The only way we heat the house is with a wood stove and that floor is cold and we love to run around with just our socks on. Anyway after we get the trim done in the kitchen we will start on the mud room.
